Jenn and Jessie started rapt stonewear in the summer of 2015 after more than a year of plotting to collaborate. They share a love of making art and jewelry and have a mutual admiration for each other's work and style.
Jenn Erickson is a ceramicist with her own business, Jenn Erickson Art, selling beautiful functional and sculptural ceramic pieces. Over the last 15 years, her work in clay has included creating sculptural figures, creatures, objects, and decorative vessels. Her current work includes functional ceramics for the home and ceramic jewelry. Inspiration for her work is derived from the forms, colors, textures, and patterns she sees in this crazy awesome earth ~ in rocks and minerals, in life on land and underwater, and in the composition of colors in landscapes.

Jessie Partridge has been making jewelry and knitwear for nearly twenty years, since her sister first introduced her to the crafts. She draws inspiration from her environment--split between her urban life in Boston, the rocky seaside of Monhegan Island, Maine, and travel to far-off lands--and from her amazing family and friends. Her motivation comes from a desire for a style that is her own and a constant need to keep her hands busy. Jessie's great-great aunt and namesake, Jessie Ames Dunbar was a jewelry maker in Boston in the early 1900's, so she also feels a historical tug toward the trade.
